Milja has grown up in Australia and has Finnish heritage. Her work has always been inspired by the Scandinavian landscape, the dramatic seasons and the moods that these inspire.

Milja studied graphic design followed by fashion design and works within the fashion industry. Her creative passion is illustration and her drawings capture the magical and ethereal essence of Folkloric enchanted forests.

Milja’s illustrations are a snap shot into her childhood and lead you through her imagination with dreamy muted colours and spooky wintery bare trees.
